At age 34 when my wedding planning business was hitting its' stride, I was suddenly and unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. After battling back to save my life and my business through 3 long years of treatment, I realized that the systems I had developed which made my return to business possible could also help others. People started to tell me my story inspired them to take action in their own lives and for the future of their business, and I knew I had to get back in front of the crowds to help as many people as I can.
I've always heard people talk about a fear of public speaking, but it took me a long time to realize they ween't kidding. It never bothered me in the slightest. I started speaking in front of crowds (or whoever would listen) at a very young age. At age 9 I won a talent show performing a stand up comedy routine about my mom's unfair rules, and by age 12 I was speaking nationally for organizations such as The Girl Scouts of America and The Air Force.
